0 , 4e <br /> MINUTES <br /> Page <br /> 7/18/79 <br /> get back to Attorney O'Connell and the Board with advice as <br /> to what should be done. <br /> Attorney O' Connell, on another matter, requested the Town <br /> Highway Department to try to do something to alleviate the <br /> drainage problem on DeGrasse load, a Town road, as it is � <br /> health hazard. <br /> Secretary instructed to notify the Highway Department to <br /> inspect the area and make recommendations on what could be <br /> done. <br /> Selectman Garland requested Town Counsel' s opinion as to whom <br /> to contact regarding the access road (egress) being used illegally <br /> from Angelo' s Supermarket to enter State route , which is <br /> going to cause a terribly bad accident. <br /> Town counsel advised that this is indeed a State problem and <br /> if it is brought to the attention of the State Resident Engineer <br /> in Middleboro, he will send a crew down here to investigate, <br /> If this is actually being used illegally, the state will put <br /> a fence up. On the other- hand, since it is a dangerous condition <br /> that exists , counsel suggested a letter to the owner of the <br /> i property, New Seabury, and ask them if they will have an <br /> engineering plan dram showing a proposed location of a new <br /> egress onto the highway. <br /> Secretary instructed to write a letter directly to New Seabury <br /> re the above. <br /> 7 The Job Description for the Deputy Fire chief was accepted with <br /> the following changes: <br /> l In all instances where "must" appears , it will be <br /> changed to "shall" ; <br /> 2 wording shall be inserted by the Board to indicate <br /> a requirement of minimum time ; <br /> 3 wording shall be inserted to corer upkeep of educational <br /> requirements for EMS` and Paramedics p and }proficiency as <br /> a Firefighter. <br /> Meeting adjourned at 4 : 3.0 p.m. <br /> Respectfully submitted: <br /> t <br /> Marie Fitzgerald, Secretary <br />
