Benway that them will be no soliciting - of any <br /> kind in the Town Hall Building. Seconded by Selmn. Garland and <br /> declared a unanimous vote by Chairman ' Cannell. <br /> Motion by Selmn. Ben ray to turn over the recreational/senior <br /> citizens ' mini bus to the new Recreation ]director, Bradford <br /> Norman, to supervise. Seconded by Chester Garland and declared <br /> vote by Chmn. O' Connell* _ <br /> 4 <br /> I <br /> Rev. Greene of the First Pentecostal Church, Route #130, Mashpee, <br /> requested the use of the Attaquin Parking Lot for a "Street Tet" <br /> from 2: 00 - 5 : 00 p.m. on July 29 , 19 9. dm . Asst, instructed <br /> to call Rev. Greene. for the definition of a "Street Meet" .- <br /> Explanation: <br /> feet" . TExplanation: An open air religious service. A guest minister <br /> will be invited - to speak, Only a portion of the parking lot will <br /> be used. No offerings will be requested, <br /> ACTION: APPROVED Police Department hent notified. <br /> 4 Motion by Selmn. Benway to accept the Board minutes of July 18, <br /> 1979. Seconded by Selmn. Garland. Dec lar' ed a vote by Ohmn. <br /> O' Connell. <br /> Administrative Assistant instru ted to ascertain the placement of <br /> the thermometer the Highway Department uses to excuse their' men <br /> when the temperature reaches 92 This ppears to be a State <br /> law that when the temperature reaches 92 high ay m n are excused <br /> for the remainder of the clay. <br /> The Falmouth th Bank and Trust Company donated $1, 000. 00 towards <br /> Mashpeels Legal Defense Fund in the case of the Wampanoag Indian. F <br /> i Tribal Council, Inc, vs. New SEabury Corporation, et al. <br /> 7 Attending this meeting was Bon Blakeman who complained that it is <br /> unjust that the New Seabury Corporation can obtain title insurance { <br /> while the rest of the Town cannot. The Fede-ral Appeals Court <br /> decision which` came dawn. in February, 1979, upholds New Seabury <br /> Title Insuror, Lawyers Title Insurance Corporation of Virginia, <br /> that the written title insurance guaranteeing against losses due <br /> to the land claire suit remains in effect. The New Seabury <br /> Corporation had this insurance prior to the suit. The Selectmen <br /> agreed with Mr. Blakeman, Chmn, O'Connell stated ,the insurance <br /> is available but the Town can' t - get it because of the land claim. <br /> 8 The Selectmen agreed to excuse the Town Employees at 4: 00 p. . clue <br /> to the heat. <br />
