Does the Board wish to order a plaque for
Henry inscribed - To Henry Godle§:ki "from the Citizens of
Mashpee for .thec:outstanding services rendered to his fellow
man and the .Commmunity. (Please see Chief' s ltr in the Ames ' folder)
4. On 11/23/79 a call was received from Sandra Faxon. Miss Faxon
• wanted to tour the museum with six other people. This office
informed her that there was no one to go with her to the
museum. She then said she had a native that would be with
her, and further commented that she was a trustworthy person
and could be trusted with the keys which she would return
when they were done. . It was explained to her that we were
working with a skeleton crew,. and, at such short notice
there was no one to accompany her. Miss Faxon was appalled
that someone from the Selectmen' s office had to be present.
5. At the last town meeting the Board indicated that there
would be some thought given re structure of town govt.
What action. re recommnedations on form of gov't'. is the Board
considering? GAB
6 . Re Sandwich collecting their items left on .loan at the museum.
The dropleaf chest w/11-drawers is not in the museum, or, listed
on the inventory. The 1-glass showcase, 1=table case, 2 boxes
of stone tools, 3 boxes of broken 'chips maybe in the museum,
but scattered. Problem: With the number of people Out in
charge of the museum (they-all having their own ideas about
displays) makes collecting these items difficult. A concern re Professional Liability Insurance
due to the number of civil actions brought .against the Towns. via
their Police Departments.
