PUBLIC HEARING; <br /> 'lune Restaurant Closure Request: <br /> Selectman Vaccaro opened the Public Hearing on the request of the Flume, Inc. to close <br /> from January 3, 1994 through March 31, 1994 as a result of current economic conditions. <br /> Being no public comment, Selectman Vaccaro closed the Public Hearing. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Jacobson to approve the closure request of the <br /> Flume Restaurant from January 3, 1994 through March 31, 1994. Motion <br /> seconded by Selectman Costa. VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE: 5 <br /> Communication from Association for the Preservation of Cape Cod, Inc.: <br /> Correspondence was received from Susan Nickerson, Executive Director ofthe <br /> Association for the Preservation of Cape Cod, Inc. dated December 29, 1993. <br /> Enclosed for the Board's consideration is a letter to the Massachusetts Coastal Zone <br /> Management Office requesting federal consistency review of the application for the designation of <br /> Waquoit Bay as a No Discharge Zone. <br /> i <br /> Motion made by Selectman Costa to authorize the Chairman of the Board of <br /> Selectmen to execute the letter as drafted to the CZM office as recommended. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Mills. 'COTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Cape Cod Economic Development Council: <br /> The Cape Cod Economic Development Council is scheduled to make presentations on the <br /> strategic economic development plan of Cape Cod on Wednesday, January 19, 1994; CCCC and <br /> Thursday, January 2 , 1994 in Falmouth at the Ree Center and Harwich Torn Hall. <br /> Communication from the Finance Committee. <br /> The Board of Selectmen have been invited to attend the Finance Committee's regular <br /> meeting of Wednesday, January 12, 1994 to prioritize proposed budget initiatives. <br /> The Executive Secretary will attend the discussion. It was noted that the Board of <br /> Selectmen have not seen the Executive Secretary's proposed budget to determine priorities at this <br /> time. <br />
