i <br /> Page 3 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> February 17, 1994 <br /> BUDGET WORKSHOP: <br /> Personnel Department: <br /> A floating clerk has been recommended to assist with departmental <br /> overloads; 18 hours - $7,x.19.44. <br /> Human Services Director- $36,262.40. <br /> For the record, Selectman Caffyn indicated that she is opposed <br /> to the position of Human Services Director. <br /> Board Secretary Account: Further review requested as it pertains <br /> to the four hour minimum per meeting. <br /> Data Processing: <br /> Data Processing funds include; part-time Computer Consultant, <br /> supplies, forms, tapes, ribbons and maintenance contract agreement. <br /> Town Clerk: <br /> Jane Labute,Town Clerk read aloud a statement pertaining to her <br /> departmental status and related needs. As Town Meeting did not fund <br /> a full time Administrative Clerk in her department, the Town Clerks <br /> Office has been reduced to an 18 hour per week employee. <br /> As a result of the above, Ms. Labute indicated that she will no longer <br /> handle beach sticker sales, shellfish licenses and transfer station sticker <br /> sales as of,duly 1, 1994. <br /> Selectman Vaccaro has offered to address this concern with Ms. Labute. <br /> This item will be reviewed further at the next budget workshop, <br /> Conservation: <br /> It was noted that budget item#0173 has been amended to read: $4,000. <br /> Item#0606 has been amended to react; $23,300. <br /> Selectman Costa recommended to consider the appointment of a part-time <br /> Conservation Assistant. <br /> It was noted that conservation lana maintenance and bog maintenance <br /> funds derive from conservation receipts and not the general budget. <br /> The Board will meet with the Conservation Agent nest week to discuss <br /> budget initiatives and priorities. <br /> Planning Department: <br /> It was noted that the capital budget was reduced. Computer items will <br /> be addressed collectively in the overall computer upgrade. <br />
