' 4 <br /> t 4 Page 2 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> February 2 , 1994 <br /> Consideration for Certificate of Announcement waiver; <br /> Communication was received from the Department of Environmental <br /> Management dated February 15, 1994 relative to the acquisition of 74.22 acres <br /> of land in Ma tepee currently owned by Christopher Burden, Trustee of <br /> New Seabury Great Flat Pond Nominee Trust I and Christopher Burden, <br /> Trustee of New Seabury Great Flat Pond Irvine {Trust II,presently being <br /> used as open space. <br /> The property, adjacent to South Cape Beach will be incorporated into the <br /> state system of forests,parks and reservations to be used for conservation <br /> and recreational purposes if acquired by the Commonwealth. <br /> The Department of Environmental Management has requested the Board <br /> approve the acquisition and waive the 120 day notice period. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Mills; Pursuant to the Massachusetts <br /> General Daws, Chapter 7, Section 401, the Ma hpee Board of <br /> Selectmen agree to waive the Ito day notice period as required <br /> by said acquisition of certain parcel s of land, or interests therein, <br /> now or formerly owned by Christopher Burden, Trustee of the <br /> New Seabury Great Flat Pond NomineeTrust I and Christopher <br /> Burden, 'Trustee of New Seabury Great Flat Pond Nominee 'Trust II, <br /> in the Town of Mashpee, Barnstable County, Massachusetts by the <br /> Department of Environmental Management within a shorter time <br /> period than provided in said Section 401. Motion seconded by <br /> Selectman Costa. VOTE: Unanimous. 3-0, <br /> Selectman Caffyn, Selectman Jacobsoh not present for vote. <br /> For the record,Mr.' hritenour indicated that the 74.22 acres of land <br /> as identified is shown on a plan on file in the Office of the Board of Selectmen. <br /> Budget 'workshop: <br /> iLibrary: <br /> Removed from agenda.
