Board of Selectmen Minutes February 2 , 1994 Street Light Committee: Coreg Taylor, Director of Publicrvorls was present to request the Boards approval of 16 street lights for public safety. The lights as requested can be funded within the current suet light budget informed Mr.Taylor. The Street Light Committee comprised of Mr.Taylor, Curtis Frye and Robert Jutstrom voted unanimously to recommend the Board approve the 16 street lights as proposed. Included for the Board's review was a detailed list of street lights in Mashpee as provided by Commonwealth Electric. Mr.Taylor indicated that it costs approximately$100 per year for each street light. Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to authorize the Executive Secretary to contract with Commonwealth Electric for the 16 street lights as recommended. Motion seconded by Selectman Mills, VOTE: Unanimous. -0, Selectman Jacobson absent. New England 'Telephone Petitions 94-2 and 9 -500 for Approval: Mr. 'Taylor,Hearing Officer for New England Telephone Petitions 94-2 and. 94-500 indicated that a Public Hearing was conducted on February 11, 1994. No individuals expressed opposition to the proposal indicated Mr. Taylor. Motion made by Selectman Costa to approve New England Telephone Petitions 94-2 and 4-500 as proposed. Motion seconded by Selectman Caffyn. VOTE: Unanimous. - Selectman Jacobson absent. COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE: Communication from Continental Cablevision re: Assessment of 5 Sales 'Tax: Correspondence was received from Continental Cablevision dated February 10, 1994 relative to the assessment of a ° sales tax on the monthly charge for a converter box and remote control. The assessment charge wUl begin next month to conform to the provisions of the MGL, Chapter 64H Section 1 and 2 of the 1992 Cable Act. i
