K Revised Page Page Board of Selectmen Minutes April 25, 1994 JR/SR IGH SCHOOL: Recommendation ommendation f Project Manager: 1 Ir.V�Iritenour indicated that Project Management Services is a crucial aspect of the high school project. A Project Manager will allow the project to remain within budget and projected time completion. The Project Management fee proposal has been negotiated by the sub-committee for the sun of$135,620 indicated Mr. whritenour. highly specialized studies will be a separate aspect of the project. The separate allowances as proposed to be conducted by outside f=s include; an independent review of architectural plans, a value engineering workshop and septic system design review gelated Mr.whritenour. The above allowances will result in a potential 15%-20% total project savings. It was noted that Greg Taylor reviewed and approved the proposal as recommended. Selectman Caffyn and Selectman Costa indicated that they are satisfied with the committee's recommendation and confident with Mr. Taylor's review. Motion made by Selectman Jacobson to enter 'nto an agreement with the Project Management firm. of Andrew Chartwell and Companyas recommended for the sum of $135,620 to include the allowances as proposed in principal; subject to Town Counsel's review and approval. Motion seconded by Selectman Costa. VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. Michael J. Forde - Mashpee Country Jamboree: The first annual Mashpee Country Jamboree was proposed by Michael orde representing the Mashpee Arts Council. If approved by the Board, the jamboree is scheduled to be held on Saturday,June 1 , 1994 from 6:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. to include live entertainment. tent is proposed to be erected in Mashpee Commons for the event indicated W. Forde. The Arts Council has requested to erect a banner for twelve days across Rte, 151 to publicize the event. A one day beer and wine license is also requested for the Country Jamboree noted Mr. Porde, Mashpee Police detail will be provided for public safety. For disclosure, Selectman Vaccaro indicated that his wife is a member of the Board of Directors; iahpee Arts Council, He will abstain from voting on this subject matter.
