Page 8 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> July 11, 1994 <br /> Limousine License: <br /> Being no further comment, Selectman Mills closed the Public Hearing. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Vaccaro to grant the Limousine <br /> License to Rhonda Machado as requested. Motion seconded <br /> by Selectman Caffyn. VOTE: Unanimous. 3-0. <br /> Public Hearing: <br /> Amend Taxi Regulations: <br /> Selectman Mills re-opened the Public Hearing on the proposal to amend <br /> Section 9 of the Insurance Certificate Requirement. <br /> The Town currently requires Certificates of Insurance in the amount of <br /> $500,000 for each incident and$1 million aggregate. Owners from Andy's <br /> Taxi and All Town Taxi were present for discussion. <br /> It was noted that insurance coverage for$100,000 each incident and <br /> $300,000 aggregate cost approximately $7500. It was recommended to <br /> require third party insurance to ensure coverage for the driver of the <br /> taxi cab vehicle. <br /> Being no further comment, Selectman Mills closed the Public Hearing. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Vaccaro to amend Section 9 of <br /> the Insurance Certificate Requirement to read: $100,000 for <br /> each incident and $300,000 aggregate; amended to add: <br /> to include the driver - after the word; passengers. Motion <br /> seconded by Selectman Caffyn. VOTE: Unanimous. 3-0. <br /> T.K. Thompson - Presentation on Performing Arts Center: <br /> Thomas Thompson presented a fifteen minute video presentation on <br /> the Performing Arts Center. Also included for the Board's review was <br /> a report on the study of Arts in the Local Economy. <br /> A brief question and answer period followed. Mr. Thompson discussed <br /> fund raising efforts for the center. It was noted that the Performing Arts <br /> Center is a non-profit entity. <br /> Recess: 9:00 p.m. Meeting Resumed: 9:07 p.m. <br />
