.♦ r <br /> • <br /> R <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> November 7, 1394 <br /> Police Chief re: Secretarial Position: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Vaccaro to advertise for the <br /> positron of Administrative Assistant to the Police <br /> Department as recommended. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Diniio. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 3-0. <br /> Police Chief re: Designation of Physician: <br /> Communication was received from Chief Frye dated November 4, 1934 <br /> requesting the Board designate physicians pursuant to Article Iiia, <br /> Section 3 of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Town n and <br /> IB o, Local 383, Units A and B. <br /> *It is the consensus of the Board to defer approval until Thursday, <br /> November 10, 1334. The Board is awaiting an opinion from Town <br /> Counsel relative to this smatter. <br /> Request of 11ashpee Lions Club: <br /> Jerry Del alma, Secretary to the 1 ashpee Lions Club was present to <br /> request the Board approve a function on Route 151, at the traffic light <br /> for the purpose of raising funds for eye research. <br /> Mr. DeI alma indicated that the Lions Club is fully insured to conduct <br /> this type of function. All proceeds will benefit eye research,local <br /> charities and free eye glasses and exams for those in need. <br /> Chief Frye recommended to limit the function to the outside road lanes. <br /> Mr. I e alma indicated that Lions Club members will wear bright colored <br /> vests for safety purposes and to identify participating club members. <br /> `It is the consensus of the Board to allow the Mas pee dons Club <br /> function as requested for one Saturday only. Th'e Chief of Police is <br /> authorized to select the function date and notify the Board, <br /> JR/SRHIGH SCHOOL: <br /> Memo re: Attendance at the National Conference on Education <br /> High School Building Committee members, ferry Sue Ahlgren and <br /> Janice Bills were present to request the Board approve travel expenditures <br /> to New Orleans for the purpose of evaluating school furniture at the <br /> National Conference on Education. <br /> It was noted that the rational Conference On Education is the lamest <br /> exhibit of school furniture in the United Mates. <br />
