Page <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> November 21, 1994 <br /> CQMNILY.I�ATTONS AND CORMPO ND N E; <br /> Notice of Grant for Landfill Capping: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Costa to accept and participate <br /> in the Grant as offered by DEIN in the amount o $350,000 <br /> o assist in the capping of the landfill. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Vaccaro. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. -o. <br /> Advisory from WEBNERI regarding December Meeting on <br /> the Proposed Wildlife Refuge: <br /> Mr, Whritenour read aloud the memo received from Christine Gault, <br /> Reserve Manager of thervaquoit Bay National Estuarine Research <br /> Reserve dated November 7, 1994. <br /> The site evaluation team from the National Oceanographic and <br /> Atmospheric Administration(NOAA)will visit V EBNERR during <br /> the week of December - , 1994. <br /> The evaluation team will meet with the committee on the proposed _ <br /> Wildlife Refuge as part of the regular meeting on December 7, 1994 <br /> at VVEB NERR. <br /> Housing Assistance Corporation: <br /> Communication was received from the Housing Assistance Corporation <br /> dated November 15, 1994 requesting the Board support their endeavor to <br /> seek funding to determine the feasibility 6f Homeownership Opportunity <br /> For All (HFA . <br /> The goal of H FA will make possible homeo nership to first time <br /> homebuyers who are of low income and/or disabled or handicapped. � <br /> Motion made by Selectman Costa to authorize the Executive <br /> Secretary to draft a letter of support to the MousingAssist- <br /> ance Corporation on behalf of the Board of Selectmen. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Vaccaro. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous, 3-0. <br />
