Page 2 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> December 12, 1994 <br /> APPaINTMEl MS AND WG <br /> Hearing - Massachusetts Community Capital Fund; <br /> Cape Cod Coffee: <br /> Mr. Young indicated that his business is clean,light industry promoting <br /> Cape Cod. It was noted that approximately 9 of the product is <br /> distributed off Cape throughout the New England area. <br /> Mr. o'Hayer indicated that expansion of the facility will allow for <br /> distribution in Florida,D.C. and the New York metro area. There are <br /> also possibilities for expansion in the Midwest. <br /> Selectman Mills opened the Hearing to solicit Public Comment. <br /> Mr. Ott asked hove many Cape residents are currently employed by <br /> Cape Cod Coffee. It was noted that the company has mine employees. <br /> Mr. Albright asked if the business is a retail operation. lir. OHayer <br /> indicated that 90% of the business involves retail supermarket sales. <br /> The word,lashpee is written on each package of Cape Cod Coffee. <br /> It was noted that Selectman Costa and lir.Whritenour were instrumental <br /> during the process of locating Cape Cod Coffee to Mashpee and assisting- <br /> with the grant application for the$250,000 lover interest loan. <br /> Mr.Whritenour indicated that the Town will serve as the application agent <br /> for Cape Cod Coffee. There is no financial liability to the Ton. The loan <br /> will go directly to Cape Cod Coffee. It was noted that the Mate only gives <br /> loans to companies in towns that serve as applicants. <br /> Being no further comment, Selectman mills closed the Public Hearing. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Costa to present the application <br /> of the Board of Selectmen on behalf of Cape Cod Coffee for <br /> love interest loan funds under the Mate Economic Development <br /> Set Aside SA Program. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Dinizio. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. -o. <br /> CQhQfflZgCAT10N5AND CORRESP �TE� • <br /> Letter from the Finance Committee re: Additional Firefighters: <br /> Communication was received from Ilan Goggin,Finance Committee <br /> Chairman dated December 1, 1994 relative to additional firefighters. <br />
