KENNETH C. COOMBS SCHOOL SCHOOL COUNCIL MINUTES February 24, 2009 Main Office Conference Room 3:30 PM Members Present: Kim Richards, Dan O'Neill, Patti Kenny, Deb Greene, Barbara Cotton The meeting was called to order at 3:30 PM No one was present for open forum. The council members approved the minutes from last month's meeting. Motion to approve was made by Patti Kenny, 2nd by Dan O'Neill. Liz Wilber was absent. The Clothing Drive Project will be discussed at the next meeting. The committee reviewed the establishment of a sub-committee to work with Liz to establish all details related to the project. The committee was invited to attend Ann Bradshaw's next budget update that will be presented to the PTO on March 10th. A review of Ann's article in the paper and budget information to date was shared with the members. Kim Richards reviewed the Countdown to Kindergarten calendar. The committee reviewed the published calendar. Barbara and Dan suggested the addition of the invitation to sign up for PTO at the September 91h Coffee at KCC event. This will be added to the calendar and updated on the KCC website. Dan and Barbara reviewed the upcoming Monte Carlo fundraiser scheduled for April 4`h at Willowbend Country Club. The PTO is looking for donations to auction off. 'Suggestions were raised from tutoring, lunch with the principal and artwork completed by the students. A notice will be put in staff mailboxes asking for their support by Friday. The next meeting will be held on March 31, 2009. Meeting was adjourned at 4:30 PM.
