Tom said it is less than 500 feet in one spot (edge of baseball field encroaches ) . Steve made a motion that the Committee define the limits a set down in this plan ( 6/21 /94) for the eastern limit of the site and will make no extraordinary accommodations to move the entire site in the easterly direction . The plan deli neater 500 feet separation from the river point . One field encroaches slightly but that i acceptable. Janice seconded the motion . 6 members were in favor, 1 against . Ray said when they revise the site plan , they will define the areas that ars lawn . E cry thing else i s low maintenance . They can ' t give a budget until they have a planting plan , Ed said the big dollar items are the fields , not grass an the islands . Ian said at Nau et Regional High the parking is far away from the building . There is a concern in winter about walking through unc l eared areas where there is no snow removal . Ray said if there is no lawn areas , where do you put the snow when it i removed from parking and walkways? Ed said it would be a shame not to take advantage of this i to . Peter said the Committee needs to bring this i to plan to the Selectmen a :. soon as possible to begin land negotiations ,, :. That can be dome with this plan , it -won ' t change that much Peter asked about the future fields area to the south , i purchase that land necessary? Merry Sue does not want to buy land that does not have expansion capabilities . we should not limit ourselves with a site th i big . Paul agrees that the bus route roadway would be much better behind the parking lot for safety reasons , Tom does not think parking will be allowed along the entry road if they are fire lane . Peter would like to know what the amount of developable l and was for the original performing arts center site . Merry Sue made a motion to present this plan to the Selectmen so they can start the acquisition process , Janice seconded the motion . All members were in favor . The Committee will send this plan to the Selectmen . SUBCOMMITTEE REPORTS Furnishing and Equipment .- Dr . DeMou ra said they will need a layout of a typical classroom to complete their work . Paul explained the architects only need a preliminary list of what we mare need . They will place it in the room. Steve said there is fixed equipment the architect is responsible for sinks , hookup,5 in the labs . Merry Sue asked if this subcommittee should just expand the consultants list , in a generic way? Paul said the Committee should try to make as many decisions as possible . 6
