a <br /> MASH PE E HIGH SCHOOL BUILDING COMMITTEE <br /> TUESDAY, MAY 107 1994 <br /> TOWN MALL <br /> Members Present} Bill Jones, Merry sue Ah1 grsn , Bill Marti ros, Peter <br /> B i n i z i o, Joan Avant Tavares , Michael Pare , Steve Gree 1 i sh , Janice Mill s <br /> Also Present: Dr , DeMoura, Gus Fredricks , Nancy Caffyn , <br /> Ian Aitchison - Chartwell , Ray Bordw l l and Norris McCloud - Perkins and <br /> Will and Ed Frennette -- SMMA,, <br /> Meeting convened a1..r 4 . 1 1 p. m. <br /> MINUTES <br /> Merry sue rude a motion to approve the minutes of May 3. 1994 . <br /> Bill Jones seconded the motion . All members were in favor . <br /> REPORT FROM PROJECT MANAGER <br /> Ian apologized to the Committee , because of miscommunication , the report <br /> was not typed in time . He will have it for the Committee in the next few <br /> days . <br /> CONTRACTS - S A/Pw have received their contract. There are a few minor <br /> details to be worked out. They are concerned about the limit of $110 per sq <br /> foot being included in the contract. They would like to discuss this <br /> further with the Committee . <br /> �hartwe 7 l has not yet received a draft contract nor a letter of intent. <br /> Peter e p l a i ned the Selectmen made a motion at their last meeting if <br /> Chartwell does not have their contract by. Friday , Bob wh r i t nou r will write <br /> a letter of intent.. <br /> They did not think a letter of intent was necessary for SMMA . <br /> PROGRAM - SMMA reviewed the building program and there was a small <br /> miscalculation in the document that went out prior to today ' s meeting . The <br /> program p resented today is corrected . <br /> After reviewing the math from last meeting ' s changes , the building is still <br /> 2 , 000 sq feet over the 183 , 000 target. we should complete that today so as <br /> not to get behind in the schedule . <br /> Brian Rowlands attended a meeting this morning at the BMMA office on <br /> developing a detailed schedule. <br /> BUDGET- Ian had a meeting with Peter and Paul Griffin on the breakdown of <br /> the budget. The total project cost also included the legal costs for <br /> purchase of the land . It is critical to discuss this budget and give the <br /> arch tests a target (what they are responsible for) and clear instructions <br /> now to meet that target . <br /> ASH FLOW PROJECTIONS Ian is working on this and will have it for Bob <br /> whritnour by next week . <br /> SUBCOMMITTEES- Merry sue was the chairperson for the site development <br /> subcommittee and they have a report to present today . <br /> Peter has suggested Michael Pare chair the subcommittee on furnishings and <br /> equipment. <br /> rhe Charrette will begin in the next 3-4 weeks and will last -4 days, It <br /> 1 <br />
