3 <br /> Community Preservation Committee <br /> Minutes <br /> December 14, 2017 <br /> Present: Richard Halpern, Ed Larkin, Carol Sherman, Dawn Thayer, Mary Waygan, <br /> Ralph Shaw, Brian Hyde, Tony Pizzo, David Harsch <br /> Meeting Called to Order by Chairman Halpern at 7:00 p.m. <br /> Mashpee Town Hall, Ockway Bay Meeting Room <br /> MINUTES <br /> Thursday, November 16, 2017 Regular Session: <br /> Motion made by Mrs. Sherman to approve the minutes of Thursday, November 16, 2017 <br /> as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Mr. Pizzo. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 7-0-1. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Mr. Halpern,yes Mrs. Sherman,yes Mr. Larkin, abstained <br /> Mrs. Thayer,yes Ms. Waygan,yes Mr. Shaw, absent for vote <br /> Mr. Hyde,yes Mr. Pizzo,yes Mr. Harsch,yes Opposed, none <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS <br /> Public Comment: None at this time. <br /> Review of Pro'ects proposed for May 2018 Special Town Meeting, <br /> Mashpec Conservation Commission/Mashpee Planning Board/Mashpee_DPW <br /> Catherine Laurent,Andrew McManus Mashpee Greenway/Quashnet River Path and Footbridge: <br /> Catherine Laurent Director of Public Works, Andrew McManus Conservation Agent and Mary <br /> Waygan Planning Board Chair and Community Preservation Committee member reviewed the <br /> request for additional funding to complete the Mashpee Greenway/Quashnet River Path and <br /> Footbridge project. <br /> Funding for the $84,800 project was initially approved by a vote of the CPC and May 2016 <br /> Special Town Meeting. After conducting a complete review of the project it was determined <br /> there was an oversight which created the need to re-configure the construction of the bridge to <br /> comply with wetland regulations and compliance with respect to stream crossing standards. <br /> Additional funding in the amount of$110,000 is requested to complete the $193,748 project. <br />
