have the problem. <br /> Tom Wren mentioned the drainage subcontractor caused some damage to trees <br /> between the soccer field and retention basin. 50 trees were up rooted and <br /> destroyed. It was an area outside the limits of the siltation fences . <br /> Paul said Stone has asked for an extension to provide the 30 day <br /> schedule/plan because Alan Scott is new to the project. <br /> Joe asked if they will core the slab in derrick 2 to test it? <br /> Joel said the testing lab must certify it is OK. <br /> Tom Wren said the top layer was frozen. <br /> Change Orders : change order #4 was signed and issued to Stone. <br /> Bob Barthelmes is working exclusively on change orders. <br /> Joel has not yet analyzed Stone ' s submission but will have SMMA' s response <br /> on Dec . 5th meeting. <br /> They issued a re-configuration of the fields to Stone . 5 items (on change <br /> orders) dealing with fields will have to be re-done. <br /> On Thursday, November 16th the Cape Cod Commission is holding a public <br /> hearing re : high school hardship exemption. <br /> The sketch of reconfigured fields will not adversely effect this hearing . <br /> The Commission staff has said no to oil storage and the town must develop a <br /> contingency plan for irrigation if the river level drops below 1/2 foot. <br /> Brian Lawlor from SMMA will be attending. <br /> Bill asked if we could overcome their disagreement with the oil tanks . <br /> Steve suggested he go to the hearing to discuss it with them. <br /> Tom Wren said at the last meeting he presented a budget statement and said <br /> the change orders were not reflected in it but they are reflected in those <br /> numbers . <br /> Waste Water Treatment Plan Manuals : Tom Wren has two manuals prepared by <br /> Weston and Sampson. <br /> Paul suggested Joel ask Woodard and Curran for a proposal to complete a <br /> manual for Mashpee but also ask how we can keep the cost down - what pieces <br /> can the Committee deliver to them. <br /> PROFESSIONAL FEES <br /> 2 invoices for SMMA for basic services for Sept . and Oct . and 1 for special <br /> services relating to extra time on the structural steel . Paul believes the <br /> $5 , 500 special services is recoverable form the contractor. <br /> Clearly, where there is inferior work, the Committee can collect for the <br /> SMMA fees , the clerk overtime and extra UTS testing . Paul suggests the <br /> Town go after the contractor 1 time only. <br /> ** Paul made a motion to forward to Selectmen for their approval and <br /> payment $34 , 172 . 57 to SMMA for basic services for September and <br /> October. Merry Sue seconded the motion. All members were in favor <br /> 6-0 . <br /> 6 <br />
