MASHPEE HIGH SCHOOL BUILDING COMMITTEE <br /> TUESDAY, MAY 30 , 1995 <br /> TOWN HALL <br /> Members Present : Merry Sue Ahlgren, Steve Greelish, Bill <br /> Martiros , Joe Polito , Paul Griffin, Janice Mills , Peter Dinizio <br /> Also Present : Jim Byrne , Ian Aitchison, Tom Wren, Ed Frenette , <br /> Joel Seeley, Mike Pietrowski , Dr. Lincoln DeMoura, Dr . Petti <br /> MINUTES <br /> ** Merry Sue made a motion to accept the minutes of May 16 , <br /> 1995 . Janice seconded the motion. Pg 1 states Joe <br /> explained , should read Joel ( Seeley) explained. <br /> All members in favor, as amended 7-0 * <br /> Merry Sue gave the Committee an update on the status of hiring of <br /> . the principal . There are 4 finalists , the schools of those 4 <br /> will be visited and each candidate will spend 1 day in Mashpee , <br /> wit the students and teachers , at 3 : 30 there will be a public <br /> meeting and at 5 : 00 the Committee will interview them. <br /> The committee will then meet with Dr. DeMoura to discuss all of <br /> the candidates and he will make the final selection. <br /> Paul asked how they are dealing with a high tech high school? <br /> Merry Sue said some of the candidates are very involved in <br /> creating new technology for their schools , one has not been <br /> involved with technology at his school (there has been no money <br /> for it ) and is up front about it . He would find someone to take <br /> up the slack. He has a lot of other good qualities . <br /> Steve said the final technology program statement had a lot of <br /> information he had not seen in that form previously. It was <br /> helpful . <br /> Merry Sue noted the furniture subcommittee needs timetables and <br /> budgets in order to move forward. <br /> Paul said the Committee has asked for an FF &. E schedule . <br /> FEE ACCOUNTS <br /> Paul made a motion to forward to the Selectmen for <br /> approval SMMA' s invoice of $67 , 556 . 16 . This includes <br /> SMMA' s design fees , CCR' s final payment and $5 , 000 for <br /> Woodard and Curran. Merry Sue seconded the motion. <br /> Paul explained because we don' t have a permit for the STP yet , <br /> they are holding $6 , 000 foom Woodard & Currant until approval . <br /> Janice mentioned that is was awkward not to have all these <br /> figures in front of her. The Committee as a whole will be held <br /> 1 <br />
