Janice seconded the motion. <br /> All members were in. favor 6-0 <br /> Joel said if the opinion i s the students could occupy the building during <br /> concurrent testing and thea elevated levels are found after students are in <br /> the building , those rooms will be vacated, cleaned and re tested . If the <br /> levels are then low, the rooms could be re-occupied? <br /> Paul said it is occuhealth' s opinion that the rooms don' t have to be <br /> vacated. <br /> Mr. Hamilton said they will make a. determination for any area found to be <br /> elevated whether the room should be vacated, based on species . <br /> Steve asked if a room is found to have high counts next week, will it be <br /> cleaned and re-tested again? Yes . <br /> The Committee asked Dr. DeMoura, and ,John Williams how they felt? <br /> .John. Williams said his concern is what if 20 rooms come back high next geek <br /> and they have to be evacuated, after the students are in the building? <br /> Paul asked Mr. Hamilton if he would expect to see any levels like that? <br /> Mr. Hamilton said there is a very remote possibility. What he saw in A was <br /> very positive as well as second floor of BW <br /> Joel said however, in the first floor of E, where the majority of mold was , <br /> only 1 test was done there . <br /> The remed.ia.l work as been completed there now, however. <br /> Steve asked if they inspected the duct work? <br /> Mark, from occuheal.th said there was some construction dust in the air <br /> handler, The HVAC system was cleaned , the filters changed and it looked <br /> good. He saw some grit on the bottom of the pan and that was normal . In <br /> area E some exposed duct had some tacky discoloration which .looked to be <br /> from oil . The majority of duck work he saw was very clean. He recommended <br /> they clean the interior area of the duct on the second floor, where the <br /> tacky areas was . <br /> Paul said the Committee will have to hear what town counsel has to say <br /> about this . He has serious concerns if we don' t open the school , due to our <br /> choice , and the chance for liquidated damages . <br /> The school department has the right to make that decision not to open the <br /> school.. . <br /> 8 <br />
