t School Committee Meeting g Finance Meeting October 15, 200 Minutes Attendees: MaryF ose Grady, Ralph Marcelli, Katby Stanley and Richard Bailey. Janice Trills was absent. Also in attendance were Superintendent of Schools, Ann Bradshaw and Business Manager, Patricia Lugo. I. Call Meeting to Order Mrs. Grady called meeting to order at : opm in the Quashnet School Library. Mrs. Grady announced there would be an unexpected Executive Session. Motion made by Mr. Bailey, seconded by Mr. Marcelli to move into Executive Session for purposes of personnel, negotiations and litigation. Roll Call vote: .In favor—Mrs. Grady, Mr. Marcelli, Mrs. Stanley and Mr. Bailey. Mrs. Mills was absent; opposed - none Meeting resumed at 7:15pm. Il. Approval of minutes Mr. Marcelli made a motion, seconded by Mr. Bailey to approve the School Committee minutes of 9/17/08. Vote: Mr. Marcelli,elli, Mrs. Stanley and Mr. Bailey agreed, Mrs. Grady abstained. Mrs. Mills was absent; opposed—none. 111. Business Administrator's report 2.1 FY09 Budget Update Ms. Lugo gave update on the FY 09 budget to date 2.2 Status of Grants Revolving Accounts and Lunch Progr m Ms. Lugo explained status of grants, reviewed the revolving accounts and gave an update on the Lunch Program. 2.3 FY09 Budget Transfers Ms. Lugo explained the budget transfer was to correct salary budgets. Mr. Marcelli made a motion, seconded by Mr. Bailey to approve budget transfer# -004. Vote:, Unanimous IV. Budget Mem Timeline Town Hall Mrs. Bradshaw game an overview of the FY10 budget timeline. V. FY2010 Budget Materials Mrs. Bradshaw reviewed the budget material's memo from Joyce Mason. The deadline for submission of budgets 1s Friday, November 7, 2008. Ms. Mason is asking all departments to submit level-funded budgets. The budget meeting bate for the School Department is Monday, November 24, 200 8. 1
