2 Finance Committee Minutes July 9, 2018 Present: Mike Richardson, Jeffrey Pettengill, Sylvester Ryan, Philip McCahill, Darlene Furbush Absent: Chris Avis, Geoffrey McKelvey Meeting Called to Order by Chairman Richardson at 6:42 p.m. Joint Meeting with the Finance Committee: Discussion and Approval of End of Year Transfers: The Finance Committee met in joint convention with members of the Board of Selectmen for the purpose of approving an End of Year Appropriation Transfer. The date of the requested End of Year Transfer is June 30, 2018. The Department requesting the Transfer is Selectmen. The amount of the Transfer is $7,800. Intended Transfer - From the Town Medical Insurance Account to the Selectmen Full-Time Salary Account. The reason for the need; the Town was anticipating a resignation from an individual at a high rate of pay, rather than a lower rate entry level employee, and another individual was hired in the Town Manager's/Selectmen's Office at a higher step due to experience. This represented a budget shortfall. Motion made by Selectman Gottlieb to approve the End of Year Transfer in the amount of $7,800 from the Town Medical Insurance Account to the Selectmen Full Time Salary Account. Motion seconded by Selectman Cotton. VOTE: Unanimous. 10-0.
