Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> May 24, 20-10 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Request for Permission for BYOB—Mad Platter Ralph Binder Mana er: <br /> Correspondence was received from Ralph Binder of The Mad Platter dated <br /> May 6, 2010 requesting permission to allow B.'Y.O.B. at his small eatery <br /> establishment. It was noted the 8 table restaurant closes by 9:00 p.m. at <br /> the subject location 5 North.Market Street,Mashpee. Mr. Binder would <br /> life his patrons to enjoy a glass of Wine or beer with dinner to increase <br /> business. Mr. Binder was in attendance to discuss the request with <br /> members of the Burd of Selectmen. <br /> It was disclosed the Town of Mashpee presently sloes not have an <br /> ordinance to prohibit B.Y. .B. Therefore,there was no action required. <br /> However, the Selectmen encouraged Mr. Binder to assume the additional <br /> insurance requirements for the sale of alcohol. <br /> APPOINTMENTS AICD HEARING <br /> Public Hearin —Shellfish uaculture License Renewal Request. <br /> The Board of Selectmen opened the Public Hearing on the renewal of the <br /> shellfish aquaculture license to Mark Eustis for a one acre shellfish <br /> aquaculture area(grant) in Hamblin Pond. The Nearing notice was read <br /> aloud to conform to posting requirements. Mark Burns was in attendance <br /> to discuss the license application with the Board of Selectmen. Richard <br /> York,the Shellfish Constable was also present. <br /> Mr. Burns indicated he has grown shellfish successfully on the one acre <br /> site in Hamblin Pond for the past ten years. The area is located 100 feet <br /> east of the salt rush at Block 56 of Assessors Map 119. <br /> ` license renewal. <br /> The shellfish constable indicated he �s�n favor of the e <br /> There was one Particular issue with respect to marker buoys that has been <br /> addressed with the applicant, and recommended for amendment in the <br /> Shellfish Aquaculture(Grant)Regulations as follows; The boundaries of <br /> licensed shellfish aquaculture areas shall be marled with yellow balls at <br /> least 15" i <br />
