Board of Selectmen <br /> Minute <br /> June 2 T, 2010 <br /> APPOINTMENTS S AN HEARINGS: <br /> Solar Photovoltaic Bid Acee take: <br /> Tom Mayo and Catherine Laurent members of e l clash ee nergy <br /> Committee reviewed the results of heir review of the bid process for a <br /> solar power purchase agreement for Solar Photovoltaic for-the <br /> High Middle School, Town Hall and Serdor Center. <br /> Three bids were received in response to the Request for Proposal. Upon <br /> evaluation,the Energy Committee has recommended the Torn award the <br /> contract to Borrego Solar,the lowest qualified bidder. It was noted that <br /> Borrego Solar has been in business for 30years and has proposed the <br /> largest installation, 348.6 kW. The recommendation was outlmned in a <br /> memorandum to the Selectmen dated.Tune 21, 201 . <br /> At the end of the six year PPA term when the Town takes over-ownership <br /> of the systems,the annual savings in electricity costs is anticipated to be <br /> over$70,000 for the three buildings. <br /> Motion male by Selectman Taylor to accept the bid from Borrego <br /> Solar of Lowell,MA for the installation of solar arrays on the move <br /> mentioned municipal buildings via a Power Purchase Agreement <br /> (PPA);'$0.15 per kWh as specified in the RFPS <br /> Motion seconded by Selectmen Sherman. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. -o. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Cook,yes Selectman Cahalne,yes <br /> Selectman Richardson, absent Selectman Taylor,yes <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes opposed, none <br />
