S <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> October 4. 2010 <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS:. <br /> Public Comment: There was no one present to continue discussing the <br /> matter of the food pantry. As a result,there was no further discussion on <br /> the subject. <br /> New Town Website Presentation; <br /> Torn Mayo, I ash ee I's GIS Administrator led a ower-point presentation <br /> on the new website for the Town of Mashee. Mr. Mayo indicated the <br /> new website w v .mas i eema.gov should be online as of Thursday. i <br /> It was explained the project which began last June has had input from the <br /> IT Director,the Town Mager and Board of Selectmen. Several <br /> attributes to the new site include a banner of photographs to highlight. <br /> Mashpee, and a new link: 4sk the Selectmen. The drop-down bar will list <br /> the individual Selectmen members to contact and all emails shall be <br /> copied to the main office. <br /> Each Department is now responsible for their own webpage. <br /> Departments, boards and committees will be requested to designate an <br /> individual to update their respective webpage information. It was <br /> suggested that a separate Town employee be designated to oversee the <br /> web pages of the departments to ensure they are updated on a regular <br /> basis. Mr. Mayo indicated that h would be responsible to follow through <br /> with current information on the main web page of the Ton's website. <br /> Another neve initiative on the main page that will change continuously is <br /> the current events, an announcement of completed projects and <br /> achievements. Presently, the neer Ilashee Library, the notice the Town. <br /> of Ma h ee has been designated as a Green Community and the <br /> installation of the new Micro-Wind Spires are illustrated. It was suggested <br /> the Single Stream Recycling Campaign be added as a new initiative. <br /> calendar of information is now readily accessible on the front page as is <br /> the weather and local tides chart. 1t was noted the School Department i <br /> also included on the Town's new-website. <br /> The Selectmcn were pleased with the new initiative for the Torn of <br /> Mahpee and its citizens. <br />
