19 Board of Selectmen Minutes January 24, 2011 LIAISON REPORT'S. Bay irQnme al Overs t Committee: It was reported the grant application for two Solar Bees to improve circulation at Santuit Pond was denied. 1t was disclosed the Friends of Santuit Fond may approach the Conununity Preservation Committee for the use of CPA open space funding or perhaps place a petition article on the May warrant to secure the funds through a debt exclusion. It was agreed that an opinion would be obtained from Town Counsel with respect to the use of CPA.funds for this type of project. The Mashpee Blue Boob is now in pre-draft form, and it is expected to he mailed to all Mashpee residents the first week in July. The EOC is presently reviewing east asswnptions associated to the printing and mailing of the environmental booklet. Reyclin committee: .. i w _ ++••5• The curbside collection process and associated costs is under review by the Town's Recycling Cottee, Lib Efforts axe bung made to continually build upon the Library bmining program. 5 Affordable o sin Conunittee: Town-owned land is under review by the Affordable Houses Committee for affordable housing needs. It was also reported,the Community preservation Committee voted to approve property on Russell Road for an affordable housing project. The matter is'ppnding approval from the Z A for a comprehensive permit. The plan if approved Will go before the voters at the May'Down Meeting. Cape Cod Collorve: The collaborative is continuing to review water issc . CVC: Wind turbines are under review by the Cape Electric Cooperative.
