It was noted the <br /> position of Harbormaster falls under the Administrative Union. Work is <br /> performed in a designated area within the police Station and in therfxeld during all <br /> seasonal weather conditions. Under the mandates of applicable statutes andby- <br /> laws,the Harbormaster regulates and enforces the control of boating and <br /> waterways, and issues verbal and/or or written warnings or citations to law violators. <br /> It was agreed the Union would be consulted with respect to a proposed <br /> modification of position title. <br /> Motions made by selectman Richardson to move forward with the Police <br /> Chief's recommendation,and advertise to fill the anticipated vacancy of full- <br /> time Harbormaster at Step 1 with the modified essential duties as referenced <br /> in the updated job description. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Sherman. <br /> YOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selman Cool,yes Selectman Cahalane,yes <br /> Selectman Riehardson,yes Selectman Taylor,yes <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes opposed, none <br /> e th Agent.—Glen HamngLon—Reguest to AMend BOH Fee Schedule: <br /> Board of Health Agent Glen Herrington was in attendance to request the Board of <br /> Selectmen amend the Board of Health Fee Schedule revised in 2009. Mr. <br /> Harrington indicated the proposed fee schedule has increased in the amount u <br /> charged for septic System permits; Residential (Engineered New Construction <br /> Repairs), in Food Licenses,and for Mable(per horse)charges. The increase is <br /> pr mmly due to the mount of time spent per inspection,and for time consuming <br /> bi-yearly inspections. <br /> It was disclosed when reviewing the Board of Health Fee Schedule with <br /> comparable towns,the Town of Mahpee fees are on the"high'end. <br /> The Board of Selectmen imposed their power as the fee setting board, and <br /> requested the Board of Health conduct a public hearing on the proposed fee <br /> increases for the purposes of soliciting comment. The matter was tabled to allow <br /> for additional review. <br />
