Cook,Jr. to Withdraw Shellfish Grant Application <br /> Submitted on February 22, 2011: <br /> Richard J. Cook,Jr. was in attendance with his counsel Attorney Kevin Kirrane to <br /> respectfully request the Selectmen approve the withdrawal of Mr. Cook's license; <br /> a one-acre shellfish grant in Popponesset Bay approved by the Board of <br /> Selectmen on March 14, 2011. Correspondence was received from Attorney <br /> Kirrane dated December 1,2011 with respect to this regard. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to accept the withdrawal of Richard I <br /> Cook's aquaculture grant,and rescind past action that previously issued the <br /> aquaculture license to Mr.Cook for the one-acre shellfish grant. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0-1. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Taylor,yes Selectman Richardson,abstained <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes Selectman Cahalane,yes <br /> Selectman O'Hara,yes Opposed,none <br /> Public Hearing—Application by Richard Cook, Jr. Shellfish Grant in Popponesset <br /> Bay: <br /> The Board of Selectman opened the Public Hearing on the application filed on <br /> December 5, 2011 by Richard J. Cook, Jr. 135 West Way, Mashpee requesting a , <br /> 1.9 acre shellfish grant to be located in Popponesset Bay, demarcation buoys will <br /> be standard 16"round,yellow polyethylene anchored at the four comers of the <br /> site. <br /> The Hearing notice was read aloud into the record for informational purposes. <br /> Richard J. Cook,Jr. was in attendance with his counsel Attorney Kevin Kirrane to <br /> discuss the license application with the Board of Selectmen and interested public. <br /> Town Counsel Jena Munoz was also present. <br />
