S <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> January 9, 2012 <br /> FDIC RFP: <br /> A draft Request for Proposal (RFP) labeled "Town of Mashpee—Proposal for <br /> Assisted Living Project" as prepared by the EDIC was presented to the Board of <br /> Selectmen for review. <br /> It was agreed the Selectmen would form a working group comprised of the Town <br /> Manager Joyce Mason,two members of the Board of Selectmen, Selectman <br /> Richardson and Selectman 0'Dara, and two members of the ED1Q, Theresa Cook <br /> and Robert Walsh to firffier ref me the RFP before it is presented to the full Board <br /> of SelecUnen. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Transfer Station Fee Pro osal: <br /> Correspondence was received from Catherine-Laurent; Director of Public Works <br /> dated November 29, 2011 recommending the Board consider an increase in the <br /> Transfer Station 1 Household Permit from 90 to $120 in fiscal year 2013. The <br /> fee for the 2nd Household Permit would remain at $10. <br /> The proposed fee would pay approximately 7%of the proposed FYI 3'budget <br /> (level funded). Without the'increase,the.current fee fi ds only 3% of the <br /> budget.- The last fee increase was in F11 when the fee was increased from$85 <br /> to $90, 'It was noted the $120 fee is comparable with surrounding.co rrt nines. <br /> Discussion followed with respect to the increase on the taxpayer at a time of <br /> economic constraints. <br /> Motion made by Selectman O'Hara o approve the fee for the'transfer <br /> Station lir Household Permit be increased 1n FY13 to $1106 <br /> Motion seconded by Selectm n Richardson. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. -1, <br /> Roll Call vote: <br /> Selectman 'Taylor,yes Selectman Richardson,yes <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes Selectman Cahalane,no <br /> Selectman 0.'Hara,yes -Opposed, 1 <br />
