2 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> January 23, 2012 <br /> Present: Selectman Taylor, Selectman Richardson, Selectman Sherman, <br /> Selectman Cahalane, Selectman O'Hara <br /> Town Manager Joyce Mason <br /> Assistant Town Manager Tom Mayo <br /> Meeting Called to order by Chairman Taylor at 6:30 p.m. <br /> Town Hall, Conference Room 41 <br /> MINUTES: <br /> Monday, January 9, 2012 Regular Session: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to approve the Regular Session <br /> minutes of Monday, January 9, 2012 as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Richardson. <br /> VOTE: unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Taylor, yes Selectman Richardson, yes <br /> Selectman Sherman, yes Selectman Cahalane, yes <br /> Selectman O'Hara, yes Opposed, none <br /> APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS: <br /> Public Comment: <br /> William O'Brien was before the Board to express appreciation to Richard Cook's <br /> shellfish project to remove contaminants from Popponesset Bay. On another <br /> matter, Mr. O'Brien indicated he is highly supportive of the proposed Veteran's <br /> Center to be located at the former Doreen Grace Brain Center in New Seabury. <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Application for Permit—One-Day All Alcohol License—Mashpee Board of <br /> Library Trustees: <br /> With regards to the application received from the Mashpee Library Board of <br /> Trustees dated January 9, 2012 to hold a fundraiser dinner/dance event on <br /> February 24th at the Christ the King function hall, the Selectmen held the matter <br /> for the next scheduled meeting to further review questions with the applicant <br /> pertaining to the one-day liquor license application. <br />
