Page 1 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> I1llianutes-F ecutive Session <br /> June 3, 1996 <br /> Present: Selectman DIMZ10,Selectman Costa, Selectman Frye, <br /> Selectman Caffyn, Selectman Marsters <br /> Executive Secretary Robert:Whritenour <br /> Assistant to the Executive Secretary Joyce Mason <br /> 11 eeting Called to order by Chairman Dimzio at 8:40 p.m. <br /> Di x cion relative to Qmtract lie otiafion <br /> Discussion followed with respect to the Agreement between the <br /> Town of lashpee and the MA Laborers'District.Council in behalf of <br /> the Mashpee Public Employees'Local Union of the Laborers' <br /> International Union of North America. <br /> The Board reviewed the minutes of January 16, 1996 and February 5, <br /> 1996 hell jointly with members of the Finance committee. <br /> It was noted that compensatory time is limited to straight time on an <br /> hour for hour basis in excess of forty hours. The maximum comp time <br /> that can be accrued is (24)hours. *To be clarified in the proposed <br /> agreemea <br /> It was also noted that the non-exempt employees are; the Assistant <br /> Conservation Agent,the Data Collector,Assistant Building Inspector, <br /> Outreach Coordinator,Deputy Police Chief,Deputy Fire Chief, <br /> Prog-am Director of Leisure Services,and A.ninial Conu-ol Officer. <br /> Longevity and pay differe nti al for paramedic certification have not been <br /> deleted from the collective bargaining proposal,but are limited to <br /> existing employee's only. <br /> There are no non-standard part.-time employee's in the proposed <br /> new management union. <br /> vaeation requests must be subniitted in advwice. Any-vacations <br /> scheduled for(4)or more consecutive days shall be requested (60) <br /> days in advance. <br /> It was noted that the Executive Secretary approves all vacation requests, <br /> After May 1st, no new approvals will be given for vacation in an effort <br /> to adequately cover a department and provide service to the general <br /> public. (Policy; no requests for extended leave will be given during <br /> the last(2)months of the fiscal year) <br /> With respect to Grounds for Discharge,the Executive Secretary will <br /> prepare,written performance evaluations. Poor evaluations will be <br /> 4 grounds for discharge. <br />
