I
I
i
,moi• a
{
jAgenda xe 31 Poor Compliance to Boating
.. w.
,.ides x
Discussion: Mei hers living on the lake, Barbara and Debi continue to note boating infractions frequently.
Debi called dispatch regarding violations she witnessed on July fourth and the assistant harbormaster did
arrive a half hour later. The assistant harbormaster checked boat registrations that previous Wednesday.
There seems to be less harbormaster coverage on the lake this summer and the trend to bigger and faster
boats continues. Jet skiers were out on the lake until - : o PM on occasion, and frequently were there
beyond the pl cut off. Mimi and Richard Joseph, our guests,brought 50 copies of the Ma's.
Boating laws and wondered how to get this infonnation out to property"owners,particularly on Wa.k by
where they reside,-They offered to nail there out if we provided a nailing list for then. The most{frequent
violations they have witnessed involved excessive boat wakes rocking ot .er..boats and boats coming too
close to swim areas at full speed. Mimi felt the situation was" n accident waiting to happen." William
w
Taylor wondered if there was less enforcement by the rhorma. ter since the position was moved under
the Police Dept. George Bingham-noted that he has seem overloaded boats taking riders across the lake to
the Dolly Reservation. `
, r
f
'Conclusion : Boating violation§ eont' ue t 'occuf frequently:
i:r ,rT ,' e
'
I
{
_ d o'p e4 -
::..:.
p
41
;E-[Age t
4: a
Discussion:
PP
P
3
Conclusions:
[ genda #odic. ,:. ..
Discussion:
Conclusions:
The meeting was adjourned at 8:30 P.M.
r
r• t rL7 .r.- -r * r -0 - L ■ a d ww >tNik•ori Ara r IW
Respectfully submitted,
. •* i k Y
s. y
r
Barbara B.Nichols
' R
