The first weekly test done June 6th at Attquin
,Beach failed, but the retest the following day passed. Since then all results at both Attaquin and the site at
Camp Farley have#passed. Brain Mauro also mentioned that the beach area at Mashpee Shores is also
tested weekly. tr
• * _ A 1-
Conclu i n : Bacteria was found in the pond June 6that Attaquin beach but subsequent tests have all been
acceptable for swimming
.c7 .h -+4.. ,.r* ,..,Cpr :A[. •.:a..r. Barbara feels there should be a separate category for non-motorized or unregistered boats
5
with i shallow water,as these smaller boats now require a nunimum of 100 lb. rnu.shro rn anchor. Debi
felt that requiring the same mooring n wtfloats was also excessive. Aridrew disagreed,'and felt the
. g g
rules protected boats gettmng astray in storms and darnaging others equipment.
F conclusions: Illegal mooring have been tagged. Some members feel there should be a category for non-
.,a r + a
motorized boats.
y .. ..
[Agenda topic ] Lowell Holly
Discussion: Richard DeNardo mentioned that he lives loyally and is helping--at TTOR by maintaining
presence and trying to ensure that the property is protected and people are aware of the rules."The head is
getting heavy usage. Many people are of Brazilian descent and Richard feels the signage of boating rules
} should be available in Portuguese. This committee tried to get the rules posted in Portuguese a few years
ago but the State turned us down. Ri hard stated that a reel jet ski collided with a boat recently, and he
feels someone is going to get hurt. The problem of people going to the bathroom in the woods is ongoing
and trash is being left on the beach. Open containers of alcohol have been noted weekly. Debi noted that
three boats spent the night on the beach August 17t" and fires have been seen on the beach. Stealing from
boats in her waterfront area occurred that sane night and also twelve boats which may have been an
unlisted bass tournament l fi the lake at midnight.
r
Conclusions: Many problems at Lowell Holly remain unresolved.
.ems ! r
The meeting was adjourned at 8.42 P.M. .
i
Respectfully submitted, y .
,W •t IF kr
!
•
Barbara B.
