Board of Registrars <br /> Friday,May 21, 1999 <br /> Mashpee Town lull,Town Clerk's Office <br /> Present: Daren Walden,Susan Regan,Jane Labute,Deborah Da i,Marita Scott <br /> The meeting of the Ma hpee Burd of Registrars convened at 7:05 pm <br /> The Burd was brought up to speed on the part-time positions. They were informed that Barbara Brown, <br /> with former Town Clerk experience had interviewed very well and was being recommended for the <br /> position to the Board of Selectmen. <br /> The Board voted to reorganize. Ms. Karen Walden will remain as Chairman, Susan Regan as Vice- <br /> Chairman,and Jane Labute as the Clerk for the Burd of Registrars. <br /> The Town Clerk recommended Ms. Ann Whitlow as a warden for future re elections. The Board approved <br /> the recommendation and voted to forward Ms. Whitlow's name to the Selectmen for appointment. <br /> A policy was developed for future elections: <br /> 1. Any vacant race with no candidate running and no write-in candidate shall count as a blank <br /> . Any nor-resident and/or silly names shall receive a blank vote. <br /> . write-In sheets: On "Naked" races shall have a separate tally sheet per race i.e. the three races that <br /> had no candidates on the May 8, 1999 Annual Election ballot). <br /> .
