Board of Registrars <br /> Tuesday, November 1 , 2002 <br /> Town Clerk's's Office <br /> 6:00 p.m. —Convened Meeting <br /> Present: Daren Walden, Chairman; Deborah Rami, Town Clerk; James Vaccaro, and <br /> Susan Regan <br /> 1. The Board of Registrars voted unanimously to call the recount for the Representative <br /> in General Court race for Saturday, November mber 2, , 2002. <br /> . The Town Clerk began describing the plan for Saturday's Recount, explaining from <br /> start to finish exactly what would be taking place. <br /> . The Board felt that since this was the Tori Clerk's first recount that it would be <br /> prudent to have Town Counsel present. vote was unanimous. <br /> 4. Escrow Ballot Bruce A. Lucas—The Town Clerk explained to the Board that she <br /> would be contacting the Secretary of State's Central Voter Registration Help Desk to <br /> obtain any copies of information available from the Registry of Motor Vehicles to <br /> shove any voter history in Mashpee. Ms. I ami further stated that she would contact <br /> the Bourne Town Clerk's Office to see if they had any information on Mr. Lucas. <br /> i <br /> . The Board discussed the issue of the "intent of the voter." The Board further <br /> reviewed various examples as offered in the `Election Resource Handbook.' <br /> . The Board of Registrars felt that a set of typed instructions should be given to each <br /> election worker.
