School Committee Retreat <br /> 8/16/13 <br /> 1ashpee Public Library <br /> Minutes <br /> The meeting began at 2:15 in the Ma tepee Public Library conference room. <br /> In attendance were Brian Hyde, Scott McGee, David Bloomfield, Joan Oliver, Phyllis Sprout, <br /> Don Myers, William Hurley, and Gail Hannan. <br /> Mr. Hyde'introduoed Mr. William Hurley to the committee. Mr. Hurley reviewed his <br /> background and wort history as a former superintendent. He vent on to discuss the criteria for <br /> high performing school districts. He also discussed roles and responsibilities of school <br /> committee members. <br /> There was also discussion of the format for school committee meetings going forward. It was <br /> determined that when principals attend school committee meetings they will bring students and <br /> teachers to the meeting. An effort will be made to bring teachers and students from various <br /> grades so that the committee can hear from different grade levels. <br /> There was also discussion about school committee goals.
