Discuss draft proposal (to be provided at the meeting)- 5 minut s <br /> Discussed overall merits of each option. <br /> Option 1 begin a pilot program providing 20 students one full day pre-school class 4 days a <br /> week (24 hours), or <br /> Option 2, begin a pilot program providing 40 students in two Yz day pre-school classes 4 days a <br /> wee 10 hours) or <br /> Option 3 begin a pilot program providing 30 to 40 students in two Y;1 day pre-school classes S <br /> days (12.5 hours) a wee <br /> The subcommittee unanimously decided to recommend for FY2015, that the Mashpee Public Schools <br /> implement as a pilot program: <br /> option %with 1 day p re-sc hoo I classes 5 days a week searing 30--40 students age 4 at an <br /> estimated cost of$129,,500 to $134,,500 <br /> This option will cover up to So%of the potential 4 year old student population while maximizing the <br /> use of physical and financial resources committed to the program. <br /> one-year pilot program during FY2015 would be used to solidify student participation and to work <br /> out any operational issues. <br /> review of the pre-school expansion program will be conducted by January 31, 2015, to determine <br /> whether to continue, expand or close the program. <br /> .
