Chris Santos Joan Oliver, Superintendent Brian Hyde, <br /> and Lannan O'Brien <br /> Meeting began at 10 :06 a.m. <br /> As part of the adoption of the new finder-based national background <br /> check regulations, school committees mint consider which people should <br /> be fingerprinted. <br /> The Sub--Committee focused on two areas at this meeting. <br /> . <br /> 1 . Should school committee members be fingerprinted <br /> 2 . Should subcontractors be fingerprinted? <br /> All people who have direct unmonitored contact with Children should be <br /> fingerprinted. Does this apply to elected school committee members or <br /> not? Should school committee members be fingerprinted to set an <br /> example. <br /> 'hat about subcontractors .Should the school committee adopt policy <br /> that all subcontractors be fingerprinted too or should we leave that <br /> decision to the discretion of the facilities manager, principals, DPW <br /> director, and/or the school committeechairman? <br /> Should the subcontractors be fingerprinted or should the <br /> subcontractors who are in direct unmonitored contact with students be <br /> accompanied by a cleared employee of the school district? <br /> We will present this information and our suggestions to the Mashpee <br /> School Committee. <br /> Superintendent Horde informed us that the new law does into effect in <br /> 2016. <br /> Meeting adjourned at 10 : a.m. <br /> tfull ub "tted, <br /> Joan Oliver <br /> Mashpe School Committee Secretary <br />
