Adopting educational goals for the school that are consistent with local educational policies and statewide student <br /> performance standards; 2. Identifying the educational needs of students attending the school; 3. Reviewing the annual <br /> school building budget; and 4. Deport card revision process-,49view/discuss current draft <br /> Assistant Principal Mi ryKate.O'Brien presented the Quashnet School Report Card revision process and progress: <br /> ■ I m prove what we have <br /> ■ Incorporate teacher input(survey) <br /> ■ Give parents specific information about their child's progress—broken down <br /> ■ Our ELA revision last year common core standards)—ubrics <br /> Mismatch exists--Metter grades Orsi rubrics—met, exceeded, not met <br /> Each grade level has identified power standards <br /> ■ Next step—work with network ad inistrator—autot acted system <br /> Length of document—report card—is ley <br /> Separate standards—no overlap—specialistslhorneroorn teachers <br /> ■ Communication with parents will take place in the fall—seeping their feedback on process and product, <br /> ■ School Committee review/approval - <br /> Hopeful to roll-out for the first trimester of the 13-14 school year. <br /> 2. voting at uashnet�J ne 25,2013 <br /> June 25th is the last day of school. Students will be dismissed at 11:30 AMI. Council members support having all <br /> voters enter and exit the gymnasium through the front exterior door of the gymnasium up through 11:40 AMI. The <br /> interior doors to the gymnasium will remain closed up through 140 AMI. The main entrance doors to the Quashnet <br /> School will rernain locked through 11;40 AMI. All cam pai ners need to locate themselves away from our extedor <br /> foot traffic areas. Extra police support has been requested just before and during our dismissal (front parking <br /> lot/bus area). Mfrs. De oerwill follow-up with the School Committee Chairman and the Superintendent on this <br /> issue—status of requests. <br /> , Staffingifediing for SY13,14 <br /> Suzanne Petten ill is transferring from Grade 6 Teacher to a Teaching Position at the Mlashpee Middle School. <br /> vincen a Nelson is transfening from Grade 3 Teacher to Librarian/Computer Teacher. <br /> Sherry Higgins is transferdng from Grade 4 Teacher to Grade 3 Teacher(taking Mrs. Nelson's position). <br /> Stephanie Lanoue is transferring from Grade 4 Teacher to Grade 6 Teacher(taking Mrs. Petten ill's position). <br /> We have 3 fourth grade teaching positions to fill—given the 2 transfers cited above and 1 retirement, <br /> We have 2 fifth grade teaching positions to fil"ue to 1 retirement and the need to add a section. <br /> We have 1 sixth grade teaching position to fill—due to I retirement. <br /> We have one special education teacher position to fill—added to meet student needs. <br /> . Other <br /> Thank you to the 2012-2013 Quashnet School Council members for volunteering to serge on the Council. Their <br /> input has been very valuable. - <br /> Iote: <br /> The March 7, 2013, and April 11, 2013, Quashnet school Council meetings were both cancelled. The May 16,2013, meeting ended <br /> up being cancelled. The only members who showed up were teachers Dianne Loin and Diana Littleton, Since both serge on the <br /> Report Card Revision Committee,there was little point to still hold our Council me fin . <br />
