Sewer Commission
Members of the Honorable Board,
It is with regret that I am submitting my
resignation from the Board of Sewer
Commissioners effective immediately.
For many Years I have attended the regular scheduled meetings and given my time to
Participate and listen to the scientific deliberation re: finding acceptable scenarios of
wastewater treatment and discharge in Order to meet criteria based on targets promulgated
by state and federal agencies, which are extremely hard and
costly to attain
The scientific deliberations of mitigating the soluble nitrogen in septic system effluent
and treated wastewater occupied the minds of most commissioners and consultants;nsultants; but
little, or nothing, has been done to find practical solutions to, at least, mitigate the
problem.
At times, it was arduous and tiresome to listen to lengthy dispositions reviewing the
various scenarios presented by the consulting firms which, although very important,
present only a small part of the overall task, It is hoped that the new entity, established to
solve and manage the wastewater treatment and disposal, will attempt to handle the task
in a practical common sense engineering basis, which also includes Nature's Way to
remedy what has been destroyed.
Respectfully submitted
0.?A— & IrAwt
Oskar-Heinrich Klenert,RE(ret)
Appointed Member of the Sewer Commission
Town ofMashpee,MA
