Mr. Ribeiro stated that the comment period was a bit short given
the resources available for the review given the size of the document, and the reason for the
extension request was to ensure that the CCC gets any substantive comments out daring this
phase_ The DCC hopes to have the hearing by the end of August. The CCC is not looking ing t
delay the project, but rather hopes that long terra the extension might help the project to move
forward.
Patty Daly "introduced herself to the Board of Commissioners as Deputy Director, CCC. Ms. Daly
reiterated Mr. ibeir 's reason for the -day extension request for the comment period, stating
that given the size of the document, the CCC wanted to ensure that the CCC does a thorough and
comprehensive review at this stage in order not to delay final approval of the project. The CCC will
give the town a very comprehensive set of comments at this point in review. If the 30-day
extension period is approved, it extends the review period by two 2-reek II EPA review periods
and would result in the following revised dates to complete the review process:
• Sept. 5, 2015: comment period finishes
• Sept. 12, 2915: DEIFY decision is provided by MEPA
The Public Review hearing would be during the lest week of August.
