It inbludes shorter times from harvest to refrigeration and <br /> other requirements. <br /> The quahog seed planted under nets in Great Fiver did well. There was <br /> only a small amount of ice damage to the nets,, and no significant mortality of the <br /> seed observed. <br /> Opponents of Richard Cook's proposed shellfish aquaculture farm in <br /> Popponesset Bay are trying a new tactic by slipping an amendment into the state <br /> budget creating a `ispecial coastal resource sanctuary" with rith the enact coordinates <br /> of the proposed shellfish farm. This was passed by the House of <br /> Representatives,, but is facing opposition noir that people are aware of that it is <br /> really an attempt to block permitting of the farm. <br /> New Business: Shellfish Propagation 2014. The 2,200 remote set bags of <br /> oyster spat, 6.5 million quahog seed, and 10,000 bay scallop seed have been <br /> ordered from the hatchery'for pick up in ,dune. <br /> Old Business: <br /> Shellfish Propagation: (See Shellfish Constable's Report above.) <br /> Sponge Fouling: .
