e <br /> Town of Mashpe <br /> 16 Great Neck Road North <br /> Mashpee, Massachusetts 02649 <br /> SOUTH CAPE BEACH STATE PARK <br /> ADVISORY COMMITTEE — PUBLIC SESSION <br /> Tuesday, Sept, 10, 2013 — 5:00 PM <br /> SCB State Park Overlook Deck <br /> Committee Members Present: Members Absent: Also Present: <br /> Jeralyn Smith, Chairman Mike Cardeiro, Vice Chair John Singleton, Park Supervisor <br /> Robert Lancaster Perry Ellis, Clerk <br /> Donald Clarke Steven Penard <br /> Gus Frederick Linell Grundman <br /> Lewis Newell Wiliam Martiros <br /> NO QUORUM <br /> Notes from the Meeting of 9110113 <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Chairman Jeri Smith called the meeting to order at 5:10 PM. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES - 6/18/2013 <br /> As there was no quorum, approval of the 6/18/2013 minutes will be carried over to the next meeting with <br /> full committee attendance. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> • End of Season Report—John Singleton <br /> John Singleton, Park Supervisor, reported on a successful season with a significant increase in use of the <br /> park facilities compared to past years. Important amenities added this year including changing rooms, <br /> and wheelchair access to the beach via a new boardwalk from the parking lot to the beach are <br /> contributing factors to the increase in traffic. John Singleton reported $45,000 in gate revenues; no <br /> incidents to report other than the usual vandalism of theft of signs, and fires on the beach from teenagers. <br /> All buoys but one have been removed for the season. Gates to the entrance of the Park will be closed as <br /> of Columbus Day, October 14t". There has been no update from the State regarding progress on the <br /> Wills Work Road improvement, or the addition of running water to the Park. <br /> • Pending Resignation —Steve Penard <br /> Jeri Smith announced the pending resignation of Steve Penard from the committee, citing his past <br /> inability to attend past meetings due to other personal commitments. Mr. Penard will notify the Board of <br /> Selectmen via letter of his resignation. <br /> NEXT MEETING —The next meeting TBD — Spring, 2014. <br /> ADJOURNMENT As there was no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 5:25 PM. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Ina G.
