3 <br /> solely of the Affordable Housing Committee, The Chair clarified that it was the role of the <br /> Committee to advocate for affordable housing and advise the Board of Selectmen about <br /> reasonable actions to meet affordable housing needs and in consideration of a host of sensitive <br /> issues. <br /> Mr. Terry expressed frustration,suggesting that discussions with Horsley Witten about data <br /> should be part of the public meeting, but Committee members responded that the information <br /> had just been shared at the public meeting. Mr. Terry suggested that the Committee was <br /> providing final decision but Committee members again reiterated that their statements were <br /> preliminary and based on work being completed by professionals, which would be presented in a <br /> public meeting. It was Mr. Terry's opinion that South Cape should be part of the working <br /> sessions to be part of the discussion prior to final recommendations. Mr. Johnson responded that <br /> no decisions had been made, only that a report was being drafted as information was being <br /> gathered from the consultants. The Chair expressed appreciation for Mr. Terry's concern and <br /> indicated that access would be given to the best of their ability. Mr. Terry suggested that little <br /> information was being provided at the meetings, but the Committee disagreed. <br /> DESIGNATE A WORIUNG GROUP TO DRAFT THE REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS <br /> The Chair stated that previous comments suggested by Mr..Abbott were correct that the <br /> Affordable Housing Trust designated the Affordable Housing Committee with the task of <br /> drafting the RFP, making a recommendation to the Trust for their approval. Mr. Taylor would <br /> be assisting with developing the draft RFP. There was discussion at the last meeting about <br /> developing a working group and as a follow up to a conversation with Mr. Taylor, Chairman <br /> Isbitz distributed a motion he wished to present for a working group. <br /> The Chair indicated that there had been discussion about developing a working group of four <br /> people consisting of the Chair, Vice Chair, the Town Planner and the Assistant Town Manager to <br /> work with the Community Assistance Department of the Mass Housing Partnership to develop a <br /> draft RFP for consideration by the Committee. The Chair has spoken with Laura Shufelt, who <br /> agreed to help, but required a formai letter requesting assistance. The Chair submitted a letter, a <br /> copy of which was provided to Committee members. The Chair requested the formation of the <br /> working group, as constituted in the motion, and to proceed as quickly as possible to develop the <br /> RFP. Ms. Shufelt would be available to attend the August 16 meeting. <br /> There was discussion whether or not to read the motion. Ms. Stone read the motion into the <br /> public record.. <br /> MOTION: Ms. Stone made the motion whereas, at its meeting on June 25, 2018 the <br /> Affordable Housing Trust(the"Trust") designated the Affordable Housing Committee(the <br /> "Committee") to produce a draft of a Request for Proposals ("Draft RFP")for the <br /> development of affordable housing on land owned by the Trust at 950 Falmouth Road, <br /> Whereas,the Draft RFP is to be submitted to the Trust as the recommendation of the <br /> Committee after due review and consideration by the Committee and with its subsequent <br /> approval, <br /> 3 <br />
