encourage a representative from their department to serve on the South Cape Peach committee, <br /> and will ask the Board of Selectmen to appoint a representative to the Committee. <br /> Amended Agreements — Hunting Issue. <br /> Jeri Smith reported that the most recent dated amended agreement tales precedent over any <br /> previous agreement. Page 4 of the agreement dated 1988 refers to the hunting issue and states <br /> the following: <br /> "Although the Committee has recommended hunting for prior years under strict and <br /> precautionary conditions, such activity was permitted primarily because the Park in its <br /> present use was not as yet developed to a point where Cornmiftee could foresee any <br /> conflict between regulated hunting and current park use and activities. TheCommittee's <br /> recommendation is reviewed each year and is probationary in nature and could change <br /> upon increased use." <br /> The yearly recommendation by the Committee is forwarded to WBN ERR for further referral. <br /> * Ills Work Road. <br /> John Singleton gave an update on planned progress to improve the Wills Work Toad. The <br /> State is going to pump out the water from the potholes on the road, followed by 17 tractor trailer <br /> loads of gravel fi l I to even out the surface of the road. Starting next week, the gate will be re- <br /> established on State Park property where it was originally located. John Singleton stated his <br /> hope that the agreement with the Police Department will be re-established to lock up the gate at <br /> night. <br /> Non-potable Water to the Beach. No new neves on progress at this time re: this project. <br /> State Commissioner has stated that it is not feasible to bring water in from the main road. Runoff <br /> of the water used is the concern of the State. <br /> NEXT MEETING <br /> The next meeting was scheduled for Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at :00 PSI. <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> As there was no further business, Mike Cardeiro moved that the meeting be adjourned.
