Page 5 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> February 17, 1994 <br /> BUDGET WORKSHOP; <br /> Fire Department.- <br /> Executive <br /> epartment:Executive Secretary has recommended to reactivate the Capital <br /> Improvement Committee to institute a five year Capital program. <br /> It was noted that the Ambulance Receipts Account will fund a <br /> life pack purchase to maintain the level of standard ambulance care. <br /> Building Inspector: <br /> Mr. Whritenour recommended to increase the hours of the Local <br /> Inspector to 15 hours per week on an average for the sum of$10,327 <br /> and utilize the floating clerk in this department to aid in clerical duties. <br /> Capital request of$20,000 is proposed by the Building Inspector to <br /> fund a small pick-up truck. <br /> Mr.Whritenour will review the leasing of vehicles to meet the Towns <br /> current needs. <br /> Animal Control: <br /> Capital request of$8,495 to fund vehicle for Animal Control Officer. <br /> Mr. Whritenour will review the lease and/or purchase option. <br /> HarborMaster: <br /> Hours increased to full-time. <br /> Capital request of$16,000 to fund 4 wheel drive pick-up truck. <br /> Shellfish: <br /> Capital request of$3,000 to fund boat motor. <br /> School: <br /> Mr.Whritenour indicated that he did not receive this years actual <br /> request from the School Department. The sum of$5,858,000 was <br /> inserted into the budget by the Executive Secretary. <br /> Budget Meeting with School Committee: March 10, 1994. <br /> Falmouth Tuition: Dr. DeMoura will be requested to utilize the <br /> worksheet to aid in the Falmouth Tuition determination. <br /> Selectman Caffyn recommended to place School Benefits as a <br /> separate line item; also SC should budget for additional staff to <br /> include benefits in budget. <br />
