Page 5 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> June 27, 1994 <br /> 7:15 p.m. Public Hearing: <br /> Amend Taxi Regulations: <br /> Selectman mills opened the Public Hearing on the proposal to amend <br /> Section 9 of the Insurance Certificate Requirement for Tani Cab establishments. <br /> Mr.Whritenour reviewed six neighboring towns for comparison. There <br /> were no limit requirements in towns of Barnstable, Bourne,Falmouth, <br /> Sandwich,Wareham and Yarmouth. <br /> Mr.Whritenour recommended to give consideration to the lower rate of <br /> insurance; $100,000 each incident and$300,000 aggregate. <br /> *It is the consensus of the Board to obtain further cost estimates and <br /> allow the local taxi establishments to discuss this concern. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Costa to recess the Public Hearing <br /> until Monday, July 11, 1994 at 7:30 p.m. Motion seconded by <br /> Selectman Vaccaro. VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> r <br /> Discussion of Municipal Office Facility Study: <br /> *Mr.Whritenour will develop a standard form for the Selectmen to <br /> utilize for the finalist selection process. Each Board member will select <br /> six candidates. Three finalists will be selected at the next Board meeting. <br /> Memo from the Town Clerk re: October Special Election: <br /> Communication was received from Jane Labute dated June 20, 1994 <br /> relative to the Special Election of October 8, 1994. As noted,vacancies <br /> exist in two elected departments;Housing Authority and Finance Committee. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to place on the October <br /> Special Election ballot, the placement of the above elected <br /> departments as recommended by the Town Clerk. Motion <br /> seconded by Selectman Costa. VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Acceptance of Additional Work Under Cleaning Contract: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to approve the additional <br /> work as specified by Robson's Cleaning Service in the amount <br /> of $20 per day. Motion seconded by Selectman Costa. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br />
