Page 6 Board-of Selectmen Minutes June 27, 1994 Memo from the vice Chairman of Finance Committee re: Capital Replacement Account: Communication was received from Marcia King dated June 17, 1994 requesting the Board formally petition Thomas Cahir to prepare the legislation required to create a Capital Replacement Account. It was noted that Town Meeting voted to create the Capital Replacement Account. Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to formally petition Thomas Cahir, State Representative to prepare legislation required to create a Capital Replacement Account as recommended. Motion seconded by Selectman Mills. VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. 7:45 p.m. Public Hearing: Annual Pow Wow: Selectman Mills opened the Public Hearing on the application of the Mashpee Wampanoag Indian Tribal Council for the Mashpee Annual Wampanoag Pow Wow to be held on July 2, 3, and 4, 1994 at the Heritage Park, Mashpee. Cherilyn Peters was present to discuss the permit application with the Board. As noted by Mr. Whritenour, all effected departments have approved the permit application. Being no further comment, Selectman Mills closed the Public Hearing. Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to approve the Annual Wampanoag Pow Wow special events application as presented. Motion seconded by Selectman Vaccaro. VOTE: Unanimous. 3-0. Selectman Mills abstained from voting. Ms. Peters requested the Board approve the placement of Pow Wow signs at the Mashpee rotary. It was noted that a certificate of insurance was submitted to the Leisure Services Department. Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to approve the placement of Pow Wow signs at the Mashpee rotary as requested. Motion seconded by Selectman Costa. VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. *It is the consensus of the Board to allow additional parking at the Town Hall; rear for the above event to include security for off premise parking.
