Page 6 <br /> Board-of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> June 27, 1994 <br /> Memo from the vice Chairman of Finance Committee re: <br /> Capital Replacement Account: <br /> Communication was received from Marcia King dated June 17, 1994 requesting <br /> the Board formally petition Thomas Cahir to prepare the legislation required <br /> to create a Capital Replacement Account. <br /> It was noted that Town Meeting voted to create the Capital Replacement <br /> Account. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to formally petition Thomas <br /> Cahir, State Representative to prepare legislation required to <br /> create a Capital Replacement Account as recommended. Motion <br /> seconded by Selectman Mills. VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> 7:45 p.m. Public Hearing: <br /> Annual Pow Wow: <br /> Selectman Mills opened the Public Hearing on the application of the <br /> Mashpee Wampanoag Indian Tribal Council for the Mashpee Annual <br /> Wampanoag Pow Wow to be held on July 2, 3, and 4, 1994 at the <br /> Heritage Park, Mashpee. <br /> Cherilyn Peters was present to discuss the permit application with the <br /> Board. As noted by Mr. Whritenour, all effected departments have approved <br /> the permit application. <br /> Being no further comment, Selectman Mills closed the Public Hearing. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to approve the Annual <br /> Wampanoag Pow Wow special events application as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Vaccaro. VOTE: Unanimous. <br /> 3-0. Selectman Mills abstained from voting. <br /> Ms. Peters requested the Board approve the placement of Pow Wow signs <br /> at the Mashpee rotary. It was noted that a certificate of insurance was <br /> submitted to the Leisure Services Department. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to approve the placement of <br /> Pow Wow signs at the Mashpee rotary as requested. Motion <br /> seconded by Selectman Costa. VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> *It is the consensus of the Board to allow additional parking at the Town Hall; <br /> rear for the above event to include security for off premise parking. <br />
