Minutes of Mashpee Street Light committee Meeting <br /> May 25, 2007 <br /> Opened at 9:00 a,m, by Greg Taylor with the introduction of Ms. Joyce M. Mason and Chris <br /> Avis. Police chief Rodney Collins arrived at 90.15 a.m. <br /> New Business: <br /> 1. Lakewood Estates existing street light on Pole 1/ 5nMain Street, Route 130. There was <br /> discussion regarding billing proposed to change the entrance street lighting direction to a <br /> position directly over' a in Street. The Town of Mashpee would then pay for the N TA R <br /> billing. <br /> . Pole 91/45 on Great Neck Read South has a duplicate pole number which will be <br /> corrected, <br /> 3. Discussion of lighting for thereat Neck roads Cemetery, off Great Neck Road South, <br /> on Pole 9155/46. Chris Avis asked why-had a pole lighting fixture been removed' Greg <br /> Taylor replied that the Street Light committee had not done anything about this missing <br /> fixture because our committee had not contracted any cemetery work to either N TA R <br /> or Republic ITD. <br /> 4. Ms. Mason commented that the Mashpee Cemetery Commission had money in their <br /> budget for decorative lighting which was planned for 1* 08 installation. <br /> 5. It was decided that the Street Light Committee would make a field trip this afternoon and <br /> determine.if highway safety justified additional lighting on the on this section of Great <br /> Neck Road South <br /> . The cemetery Commission will proceed with their decorative lighting which would help <br /> prevent vandalism. A flood light should solve any potential problems. The_operational <br /> expenses for this lighting should not come from the street light budget, <br /> 7. After field inspection, a motion was made to table all street lighting for the entrance to <br /> Great Neck woods Cemetery. <br /> Vote: Unanimous for the motion. <br /> B. change street light billing from private td Town of Mashpee at the following locations: <br /> a, River Road, Pole 9155f7O <br /> b. Old Dock Lane, Pole 9155/81 <br /> c. blain Street, Lakewood Estates, Pole 1165 <br /> 9. Street light billing to remain the customer's expense at the following locations: <br /> a. Melissa Aire/Jones Road <br /> b. Other lighting in the Lakewood area <br /> Note.
