Page 1 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> i Minutes <br /> August 22, 1994 <br /> Present: Selectman Mills, Selectman Costa, Selectman Caffyn, Selectman Vaccaro <br /> Executive Secretary Robert Whritenour <br /> Meeting Called to Order by Chairman Mills at 6:30 p.m. <br /> T.K. Thompson re: Two Day Liquor License: <br /> Thomas Thompson was present to discuss the two day liquor license <br /> request on behalf of the Cape Cod Center for the Performing Arts and <br /> Mashpee Commons. <br /> As noted by Mr. Thompson, the first annual New England Jazz Festival <br /> is proposed to begin at noon on September 3, 1994 and at 2:00 p.m. on <br /> September 4, 1994 in Mashpee Commons to benefit the Cape Cod Center <br /> for the Performing Arts and Cape Cod Jazz Society. <br /> Alcoholic beverages consisting of beer,wine and champagne will be <br /> sold in the hospitality tent for ticket holders only indicated Mr. Thompson. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Costa to approve the Two Day <br /> Liquor License Request as presented. Motion seconded by <br /> Selectman Vaccaro. VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Robert Yaeger, President Cape View re: Videotaping <br /> Mashpee Attractions: <br /> Communication was received from Robert Yaeger,President of Cape View <br /> dated August 3, 1994 requesting permission to video tape some of <br /> Mashpee's attractions. <br /> The tape to include a guidebook of maps and lists is intended to be sold <br /> nationally to people visiting the area. The objective is to encourage people <br /> to come to Mashpee more often and stay for longer periods by giving a <br /> comprehensive description of the attractions available. <br /> It was noted that the proposal is a commercial venture to benefit <br /> Mr. Yaeger. He intends to video tape other Cape towns. <br /> *Selectman Costa recommended that Mr. Yaeger introduce himself to <br /> the Mashpee Police Department for awareness is any problem should exist. <br /> The Board is in agreement. <br />
