Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> February 6, 1995 <br /> Page I <br /> APP -NTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> r Nathaniel Hailey - Hiring Update: <br /> F Nathaniel Hailey,the Community Builders and Crown Construction <br /> Company representative was present to update the Board with regards <br /> to meeting the 30% hiring goal of Barnstable County residents for the <br /> Mashpee Village project. <br /> Mr.Haile indicated that he reviewed past outreach records Y p to determine <br /> ` that the Community Builders ders and Crown Construction Company has made <br /> ty <br /> ^i efforts to promote job opportunities for Mashpee residents and has complied <br /> with the 30%n hiring goal of <br /> g g Barnstable County residents for the project. <br /> Mr.Hailey presented several facts to substantiate the 30%hiring goal. <br /> g <br /> Grace S wierk,the Senior Property YManager for the Mashpee Village project <br /> was also present to support the information furnished by . Y <br /> Mr.Haile . <br /> S: <br /> In other business, Mr. Haile appealed to the Board for assistance Y PP to aid <br /> in the release of cash flow for the project. It was noted that the project is <br /> P � P J <br /> z'4=« in arrears in excess of$320,000. <br /> .vi r <br /> With regards to the above Mr.Whriten ' <br /> our indicated that he well contact <br /> s the State regarding appropriation methods. <br /> .r; <br /> PUBLIC DI SIGN: <br /> sit <br /> k Deirdre Greelish recommended the Board consider a bylaw change for <br /> the purpose of hiring Mashpee residents for Town construction projects. <br /> Concerns were addressed with reference to the new high school facility-, <br /> g <br /> 1. <br /> Y yy <br /> ` =s. Selectman Dinizio indicated that the ground breakin of the new hi school <br /> gr' g high o0 <br /> earl Aril <br /> project is anticipated to begin in as weather dl <br /> P � Y P crates. The Board <br /> should become pro-active with regards to the use of local labor. Selectman <br /> { <br /> Dinizio recommended to assemble a data base of local labor.
